Dangcho (당초)

Have you ever seen our dangcho-inspired face masks, but weren't sure what dangcho means? Dangcho is a name that refers to an exotic vine pattern, but the dangcho design pattern itself encompasses the flowers and the leaves connected to the vine as well.

The dangcho pattern symbolizes strength, wealth, and longevity. It is a pattern historically used in paintings and pottery. Different variations of the dangcho pattern exist and they feature different flowers and vines.

The dangcho pattern is a classic design that was developed during the Three Kingdoms Period and different variations were present in Goguryeo and Silla.

Leehwa Wedding offers the dangcho-inspired patterns on our (1) Dangcho Mask Set (Black, Gray, Navy, Blue) and (2) Pink: Cherry Blossom Mask.
